Vanessa has completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Denver with a concentration in Mental Health. She is deeply committed to supporting individuals, couples, and families through life's many transitions with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person's unique story.
As a mother herself, Vanessa brings both personal insight and professional understanding to her work with parents and caregivers. She recognizes that family life can bring immense joy as well as unexpected challenges, and she is passionate about helping clients navigate these experiences with greater confidence, self-compassion, and support.
Vanessa's professional journey has included managing businesses, working as a backcountry ski guide, and volunteering with hospice. These diverse experiences have strengthened her appreciation for resilience, adaptability, grief, connection, and the many ways people navigate change throughout their lives. Her broad background helps her meet clients with openness and understanding across a wide range of experiences.
Her clinical work is grounded in evidence-based practices, strengths-based approaches, and collaborative care. Vanessa believes clients already possess many of the strengths needed for healing and growth, and she works alongside them to identify and build upon those resources while developing new tools and perspectives.
Vanessa's training includes trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), suicidality assessment and intervention, and couples therapy. She enjoys supporting clients as they deepen self-understanding, strengthen relationships, and move toward lives that feel more aligned with their values and goals.
Outside of the therapy room, Vanessa enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and dog, hiking, skiing, reading, practicing yoga, and meditation.

The first step to beginning care at Parent & Family Wellness Center is scheduling an intake appointment with one of our intake clinicians. If you feel especially drawn to Vanessa, you are always welcome to mention that during your intake appointment. If appropriate and availability allows, we will always do our best to honor those preferences.
We offer both in-person therapy in Boulder and virtual therapy throughout Colorado.
