Ubaka earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University and his Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

His clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based psychiatric care while recognizing the importance of physical health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, and life circumstances in overall mental health. He believes that successful treatment begins with listening carefully, building trust, and working collaboratively with patients to develop individualized treatment plans.

Throughout his career, Ubaka has worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, substance use disorders, schizophrenia, and a variety of other mental health concerns. His experience spans outpatient psychiatry, addiction recovery, correctional health, geriatric behavioral health, and community mental health settings.

His professional background includes work with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Denver Springs Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital, and the Colorado Department of Corrections. These experiences have provided him with extensive exposure to diverse populations and complex mental health needs across the lifespan.

Ubaka has a growing interest in perinatal and family mental health and is passionate about supporting parents, caregivers, and families through life's transitions. He is committed to helping individuals build emotional resilience, improve overall wellbeing, and access compassionate, culturally responsive care.

In addition to his clinical work, Ubaka is passionate about improving mental health services, mentoring future nursing professionals, and advocating for equitable access to quality mental health care.

Outside of work, Ubaka enjoys mindfulness practices, maintaining physical fitness, spending meaningful time with family and friends, and prioritizing restorative sleep. He believes balance, curiosity, and ongoing growth are important components of both personal wellbeing and professional development.
