Passionate about supporting families with Infant Mental Health and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Sophie is especially dedicated to supporting parents, caregivers, infants, and children in fostering healthy attachments.

Prior to joining The Parent and Family Wellness Center, Sophie worked at a community mental health center, providing therapy for parents, infants, and families. During this time, she received intensive training in addressing postpartum-related concerns, mood and anxiety challenges, attachment issues, infant developmental states, and parenting-related matters. Sophie approaches her work from a psychodynamic perspective with a strong emphasis on attachment theory. She believes in creating a deeply collaborative and authentic therapeutic relationship that is uniquely tailored to each person's needs, incorporating an anti-oppressive lens. Through this collaborative approach, she aims to empower individuals, helping them connect with the resources they already possess.

Sophie’s central goal is to empower caregivers to strengthen their capacity for supporting safe, regulated, and meaningful connections with themselves, their infants, and other loved ones. Sophie holds deep trust and respect for the process of bearing witness to healing, growth, and change.

Sophie’s commitment to self care involves exploring new creative avenues through art, spending time in the Colorado wilderness, and cherishing quality moments with her family and her beloved dog.
