Jessica brings a unique blend of academic insight, hands-on training, and heartfelt compassion to her role of psychotherapist at the Parent & Family Wellness Center. Jessica graduated from the Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling program at Naropa University and is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through the transformative journey of parenthood.

With past experience at Sanctuary Doulas, where she facilitated their "Postpartum Support Circle," Jessica has gained a robust understanding of postpartum wellness and perinatal mental health issues. This unique experience complements both her person-centered, Gestalt and Internal Family Systems approaches to counseling, fostering a therapeutic space for self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth. She practices therapy from a systems perspective, utilizing Internal Family Systems Family prompts to break down barriers towards growth and access self-confidence, self-leadership, and curiosity of the deeper layers that make a person who they are. She emphasizes the importance of the present moment and personal responsibility, crafting a nurturing environment for her clients.

As part of her professional development, Jessica has undergone Gottman Level 1 training, a method designed to strengthen and enrich couples' relationships. She is currently extending her supportive presence to both individual and couple's counseling, offering tailored guidance for those undergoing this and other major life transitions.

In addition to her counseling practice, Jessica's expertise is enriched by her completion of Birth Doula Training through DONA International in May of 2022. This training has allowed her to further support expectant parents, through an understanding of the emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of childbirth. With a deep reverence for the sacred and transformative nature of this rite of passage, Jessica has never felt more certain that supporting people during this time is her calling.

Combining passion, education, and a versatile therapeutic approach, Jessica is committed to creating a nurturing, empowering, and supportive space for all parents and families within the Boulder community. As she deepens her skills and broadens her practice, she remains dedicated to enhancing the well-being and resilience of those she serves.

Jessica’s commitment to self care includes: practicing zen meditation and making her famous matcha lattes in the morning, rock climbing, dancing with hula hoops, going to concerts, hiking, swimming in the Boulder creek, and laughing with her beloved friends/family.
