Jeremy Berger

Psychotherapy Intern

He, Him, His

Jeremy is a psychotherapist-in-training with a commitment to the role of authentic interpersonal relationships to help heal past wounds and gain the courage to engage fully with life. He’s currently pursuing his M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, is trained in Hakomi Mindfulness-Based Somatic Psychotherapy, and studies the clinical application of existential philosophy. He’s delighted to offer his heart and curiosity to people as they navigate the wild and challenging terrain of being human.

Jeremy offers a spontaneous and agendaless space for clients to express themselves—and to discover who they are and what they want. With a background leading creative teams at magazines and startups, he can also provide practical and goal-directed support. Jeremy is part of the practicum and internship program at Parent and Family Wellness Center. He’s honored by the opportunity to advocate for individuals and families as they find ever-deeper belonging to themselves and each other, and to learn from his colleagues.

Jeremy’s commitment to self-care includes: learning BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), trail running, dance and meditation, time in the wilderness, participating in (and facilitating) men’s groups, cultivating relationships and community, and cooking food from local farms and ranches.
