Psychotherapy fee: $182; Couples fee: $208. Sliding scale available.

Connie has a passion for family and reproductive mental health care and justice. Her goal as a therapist is to provide her clients a space for nourishment, reflection and support so they can touch into their strengths and learn new skills for fostering connection, hope, and direction in their lives. As a mother herself, Connie understands personally the everchanging whirlwind of experiences and emotions inherent to pregnancy, the postpartum period, and parenting. She believes wholeheartedly that every person deserves to not just survive, but to thrive, during this time.

Connie has a theoretical foundation in psychodynamic theory and works with her clients from an anti-oppressive, relational stance.  She believes that therapeutic work is most meaningful when curiosity, compassion, and relationship are at its core. She recognizes the role that our environments have on our mental and spiritual health and she strives to honor each person’s unique constellation of culture and identity.

Connie enjoys working with both individuals and couples, and brings to her work knowledge of various modalities and trainings, including contemplative practices, Acceptance and Commitment therapy,  DBT, CBT, perinatal mental health, Circles of Security, Let’s Connect parent coaching, Gottman couples therapy, and Emotion Focused couples therapy. She also integrates EMDR and somatic approaches, honoring the body’s innate wisdom and capacity for healing. Her eclectic approach allows her to meet the unique needs of caregivers in various places in their lives and healing journeys.

Connie brings with her a breadth of experiences that have influenced her current work.  In previous roles, she has worked as an advocate for survivors of sexual violence, an abortion doula, a social and emotional learning program developer, and a child and family therapist. In a past life she was also involved in community organizing around local food, lived for 3 years in a National Park, and has worked as a ceramicist in rural North Carolina.

Connie is a big believer in the power of play, creativity, and community. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, sewing, potlucks with friends, and adventuring with her husband, son and dog.
