Individual Psychotherapy fee $214. Couples fee $237.

Brittany Kurtz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both Colorado and Wyoming who specializes in trauma-informed therapy and nervous system-based healing. She takes a holistic and integrative approach to care, combining both “bottom-up” and “top-down” strategies to help clients move toward deeper healing, self-understanding, and reconnection with themselves.

Brittany specializes in:

  • complex trauma

  • EMDR therapy

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) / parts work

  • grief and loss

  • spiritual and religious trauma

  • trafficking trauma

  • chronic illness and mind/body disconnection

  • anxiety

  • obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

  • perinatal mental health

  • nervous system regulation

  • trauma-informed care

Brittany’s therapeutic approach prioritizes nervous system attunement and helping clients better understand the connection between emotional experiences, physical sensations, and patterns of protection or survival. She incorporates modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychosomatic tools, and DBT-informed interventions when appropriate.

She believes therapy is a collaborative and deeply human process, and views therapists and healthcare providers as catalysts for the healing work that already exists within each individual. Brittany approaches her work with deep respect for each client’s inner wisdom and believes clients are ultimately the experts of their own healing journey.

Prior to joining Parent & Family Wellness Center, Brittany worked in both group and private practice settings and served as the Clinical Lead at a residential center for survivors of trafficking. She has also worked on integrative teams focused on expanding access to mental health care in rural communities and believes social justice and systems-level advocacy are important parts of meaningful therapeutic work.

Following her own experiences with a difficult pregnancy and her longstanding passion for trauma treatment, Brittany expanded her work into the perinatal mental health field, where she found powerful overlap between prevention, trauma response, nervous system care, and identity transitions into parenthood.

Above all, Brittany is passionate about helping clients reconnect with themselves, honor their experiences, and heal from the inside out.

Outside of her clinical work, Brittany deeply values intentional rest, expressive creativity, and quiet moments of reflection. Originally from Missouri, she has also lived in Jackson, Wyoming and Boston before eventually settling in Boulder, Colorado with her husband, daughter, and two cats.

The first step to beginning care at Parent & Family Wellness Center is scheduling an intake appointment with one of our intake clinicians. During this appointment, they will take time to better understand your needs, goals, preferences, and areas of support so they can thoughtfully help match you with the best-fit therapist.

If you feel especially drawn to Brittany, you are always welcome to mention that during your intake appointment. If appropriate and availability allows, we will always do our best to honor those preferences.

We offer both in-person therapy in Boulder and virtual therapy throughout Colorado.
