Bethany works with adults, parents, couples, and families navigating mental health concerns, life transitions, pregnancy, postpartum experiences, and the many emotional changes that can come with becoming a parent. With a background in nursing across family practice, outpatient and inpatient mental health, labor and delivery, and postpartum care, she brings a unique understanding of the connection between emotional well-being, physical health, relationships, and the perinatal experience.

Bethany is especially passionate about supporting clients who are feeling overwhelmed, hurting, or uncertain about what comes next. She believes that therapy can offer a place to slow down, feel heard, make sense of difficult experiences, and discover what healing and growth may look like for each individual.

Bethany provides therapy for clients throughout Colorado via telehealth.

Bethany brings 15 years of nursing experience to her work as a therapist, with a clinical background spanning family practice triage, outpatient mental health, inpatient mental health, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. During her time in labor and delivery, she also collaborated closely with neonatal intensive care teams, giving her a deeper understanding of the complex medical and emotional experiences that can surround pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

Most recently, Bethany worked as a nurse educator leading postpartum support groups and teaching perinatal classes on labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, infant breastfeeding and chestfeeding, and newborn care and safety. She has supported individuals, couples, families, and grandparents as they prepared for and adjusted to the changes that come with welcoming a baby.

Bethany practices person-centered therapy with a psychodynamic approach. She believes that each person brings their own history, relationships, experiences, and ways of understanding the world into therapy. Rather than approaching clients with assumptions about what they need, she takes time to listen, understand, and support them as they explore their experiences and identify their own goals for therapy.

At the heart of Bethany's counseling philosophy is a desire to alleviate pain, bear witness to what clients have experienced, and co-create space for healing. She views therapy as a collaborative process where clients can make sense of their stories, develop greater self-understanding, and explore new possibilities at their own pace.

Her background in nursing also informs the way she understands the perinatal experience. Bethany recognizes that pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding or chestfeeding, and early parenthood can involve both profound joy and unexpected emotional challenges. She brings compassion and curiosity to the experiences that can be difficult to talk about, including uncertainty, overwhelm, changes in identity, relationship shifts, and the pressure to feel a certain way during a major life transition.

Bethany is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology, with anticipated graduation in June 2027.

Outside of the therapy room, Bethany enjoys spending time in nature, reading, listening to music and audiobooks, drinking coffee, playing piano, horseback riding, textile crafts, eating good food, visiting museums, and exploring with her friends and family.
