Stephanie Peverill is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with ten years of clinical practice in outpatient, hospital, and integrated care settings. After completing a master's degree in International Disaster Psychology at the University of Denver, Stephanie conducted years of clinical work at some of Denver’s leading hospitals and family focused non-profit organizations.
Stephanie is passionate about supporting systems while working in integrated care. She has dedicated her time supporting, educating, and advocating for women through infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum at hospitals and fertility clinics around the Denver metro area, where she has advocated for patients as a therapist in Obstetrics offices, Midwifery offices, NICU, PICU, Labor and Delivery units, and fertility clinics.
Stephanie’s therapeutic process is rooted in trauma-informed care with an integrated approach of positive therapy, person-centered therapy, with an emphasis in utilizing self-care in healing. Stephanie has previous work experience in crisis intervention and supporting refugees overseas and within the U.S. She is passionate about working with people from different cultural backgrounds and supporting the many paths to parenthood.
Prior to her clinical work, Stephanie worked at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) where she led public health education programs in Africa focused on gender-based violence prevention and strengthening health systems. Her time working in global public health gave her the passion to pursue clinical work to support families as they navigate personal journeys.
Stephanie is looking forward to promoting Maternal Mental Health wellness with clients and staff at Parent and Family Wellness Center as a Senior Supervising Therapist.
In her free time Stephanie enjoys getting outdoors with her two young boys and husband biking, engaging in her community, and enjoying all the beauty Colorado has to offer. Stephanie incorporates a lot of mind and body wellness into her own self-care practices through acupuncture, journaling, reading, and engaging in her own therapy.
