ADDITIONAL disclaimer: COURT-ORDERED THERAPY
At Parent & Family Wellness Center (PFWC), our focus is on voluntary, relationship-based therapy. Generally speaking, we do not offer court-mandated or court-ordered treatment.
Court-mandated therapy often requires limits to confidentiality, extensive administrative reporting, and formal evaluations that are outside of our role as a wellness practice. As a small, specialized center, our priority is supporting families in reflective and therapeutic spaces rather than providing forensic services.
Exceptions: In rare circumstances—such as when a guardian ad litem or outside therapist is closely involved, or when court oversight is limited and consistent with our model of care—we may consider family therapy or parent support. These cases are evaluated individually.
If you are seeking mandated treatment, we are happy to provide referral options to practices and professionals who specialize in this type of work.
